How we are run

The Council is a virtual organisation.

We are funded by the National Data Guardian (NDG), who, in turn, is funded by the Department of Health and Social Care. We are considered a subgroup of the National Data Guardian's Panel, and receive secretariat support from the Office of the National Data Guardian.

The Council is chaired by Dr Arjun Dhillon. He is supported by vice chair, Dr Chris Bunch.

Council business is formally discussed at meetings, which are held every two months, normally at a location in central London, though have been held virtually during the pandemic. Notes of Council meetings are published on this website.

Our constitution is published every four years.
