How we are run

The Council is a virtual organisation.

We are funded and overseen by the National Data Guardian (NDG), which, in turn, is funded by the Department of Health and Social Care. The Office of the National Data Guardian provides secretariat support.

Dr George Fernie chairs the Council, supported by vice chair, Helen Dyer.

Council business is discussed at formal online meetings every two months, and we publish the minutes online.

Our constitution is published every four years.
